Willow Workshop
Puppet Design

A glimpse into the production of 20 Willows in 2009, before they went sent into public health clinics across NYC!

Judy designed Willow and built her of terry velour, to have a soft and supple feel conducive to high levels of interaction.

Judy created 20 Willows - a very lengthy process - with care and precision to ensure that the social workers who would be utilizing them could rely upon the quality of the material.

She remains a favorite among the Puppet Treehouse family and has made many appearances around the world!

Production Photos: Griffens Wings performed March 2007
Writer, Director, Puppet Designer

Griffens Wings was a large scale production featuring 5 performers and more than 20 puppets.  A fantastic world with extreme characters, images, and poetry, the play tells the story of a dreamer and her search for truth and family.

We blended international puppetry traditions, from bunraku to wayang kulit to modern experimental object puppetry and paired it with sensational animations to create a living breathing world of dreams.

Cast: Marissa Gonzalez, Mara Wilson, Zelda Knapp, Janie Nutter, Michelle Onufrak

Dr. Stompenchompem Scene

Production Photos: Jungle Book
performed August 2003
Writer, Director

Assorted pictures from the last production of Eureka!, a children's theatre company Judy formed as a teenager.  She united with the local city government to support the program and produce quality plays with interesting speaking roles for the entire cast.  She developed comprehensive performance curriculae for the cast so that every day combined rehearsal, vocal, and performance training.

Twenty children joined the cast of the Jungle Book with a crew of five teenaged theatre professionals, and together they produced a fun play which raised donations for a local community outreach program.
