Brett Alters
Puppeteer
One of our fabulous puppeteers, Brett has joined us with initiatives for PBS, NYC Parks & Recreation, NYS WIC Association, and continues to share his years of experience working with children and theatre artists to support Puppet Treehouse projects.
Brett was born in San Diego, CA where he began performing with Coast Kids Theatre at a young age. In high school he was introduced to Improv through Comedy Sportz Los Angeles’ high school program and summer camp. He continued his theatre studies at New York University where he attended the Musical Theatre Program at CAP21. He graduated in 2009 and received B.F.A. in Drama. While in New York Brett started performing in cabaret, burlesque, and variety shows at venues all over the city. Brett also joined the cast of Comedy Sportz New York at the Broadway Comedy Club. Brett is an actor, improviser, and clown who has performed at places like The Wynn Hotel, Sea World, Excalibur Hotel, Hershey Park, Legoland, The Kraine Theatre, The Broadway Comedy Club, Dixon Place, Le Poisson Rouge...among others. Brett currently resides in Las Vegas and performs in Le Reve and The Tournament of Kings.
