the view from the workshop
Today's blogger: Web Spider
Judy Puppets packed up the caravan for a road trip all over the Mid-Atlantic. First stop: the boardwalk of Atlantic City, where life is peaches and cream! Rocky, never one to miss an adventure, has called shotgun, of course. Willow has tagged along as well, though she is more excited about seeing the boardwalk than the actual car ride (Rocky likes the car ride) (Rocky likes any form of travel) (especially if there are windows).
As soon as the motley crew had crept out of the workshop early yesterday morning, I lowered myself to the keyboard from my web in the corner of the workshop. JP left the computer on, so ... I have officially ousted her as Mayor of Puppet Treehouse's blog! Put THAT in your Foursquare pipe and tweet it! (It's possible JP won't even notice at first - look at the last time she updated this blog!) Check back here regularly for travel updates from the whole puppet clan!
I expect to hear from Rocky and Willow very soon about the drive north.
In unrelated news, the outer weaving of my interweb is sending me whispering trembles of new visitors to our world. Tune in next time for more news from that quadrant.
This is Web Spider, spinning off.
Hey there! Willow Wabbit here, sending my hello across the seas to you - from Bangkok! Judy, Demetri, and me have been here for a couple of days now and all I can say is WOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!! ...
Exciting news!
Puppet Treehouse has been honored by
British Airways in their
"Face of Opportunity" initiative. The UK-based airline asked the question, "Why would your organization benefit from face-to-face meetings?" and we answered!
We happily introduced our mission of working with communities to improve public health.
We shared our enthusiasm for bringing what we do to communities around the world.
We affirmed that the opportunity to spread awareness of public health issues is the opportunity to make a stronger planet.
And what do you know? British Airways got "on board" - and sponsored the first chapter of our
"Puppet Treehouse In the Sky" project! As a "
Face of Opportunities" Finalist, we joined community leaders in London to discuss the importance of face-to-face connections in an increasingly virtual world and then set forth for our first destination: Thailand.
We fly out in early September - stay tuned for more!
